SapientNitro Nabs Critical Mass Alum Garnett to Lead Agency’s Creative in Toronto

 

Toronto – January 22, 2013 – SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), today announced the hire of Alison Garnett as creative director, effective immediately.

Alison joins the agency’s growing 200+ person Toronto office, where she will maintain high standards of design excellence and push the boundaries of storytelling for clients. She will report to worldwide chief creative officer, Gaston Legorburu. Alison possesses 20 years of experience in identity, design and advertising across channels, as well as an impressive client portfolio that includes Scotiabank, Clorox, Sears Canada, Theodore Alexander and Barilla.

Prior to joining SapientNitro, Alison held the position of creative director at Critical Mass in Toronto. There, she collaborated with creative, technology and planning directors to develop product strategy, concepts and design for clients and new business pursuits. With experience working across all disciplines including design, advertising and digital, Alison helped build the agency’s interactive reputation with award-winning digital campaigns and sites, and client wins including Sears Canada and Nestlé. Prior to Critical Mass, Garnett led brand creative at TAXI Canada.

Alison joins SapientNitro’s creative team in Toronto -- one of its fastest growing offices – where she will collaborate with creative directors Elliott Smith and James Wilkinson and support the design team.

During the past year, the Toronto team has landed prominent account wins like Loblaws, Intel and Orville Redenbacher, and enlisted notable hires such as James Wilkinson (Saatchi) and Strategy Directors Scott Weisbrod (Blast Radius) and Dean Foerter (BBDO, JWT).
