Sprint.com Earns Best in Class with SapientNitro Redesign

 

BOSTON – January 13, 2012SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), is proud to announce that Sprint.com received top accolades from both the Interactive Media Awards™ (IMA) and J.D. Powell and Associates. The 2011 award wins reflect SapientNitro and Sprint’s efforts to create a redefined and seamless ecommerce experience for Sprint customers.

Recognizing outstanding achievement in website design and development, the IMA awarded Sprint.com with “Best in Class” honors in the Telecommunications category while J.D. Power and Associates ranked Sprint highest among full-service providers in a tie with T-Mobile in its Wireless Purchase Experience Study. According to J.D. Power and Associates, Sprint led the industry in its website buying experience.

Through a complete reinvention of Sprint’s online platform, the new Sprint.com website became a dynamic, new user experience for customers to easily manage their accounts, browse products and services, and transact online. The website provides a unified logged in experience across all of Sprint’s properties and also integrates social technologies and user-generated content from blogs and forums to ratings and reviews. In addition, a customizable “Device Central” serves as the new home base for users to experience the power and capabilities of their phone.

The new experience makes heavy use of Web 2.0 paradigms and represents an enormous leap forward in usability, personalization, and performance from a consumer perspective. Apart from user experience, the project also involved complex re-platforming of the technology back-end. A redesigned and personalized Sprint.com homepage serves as a marketing launch pad for everything from new device and plan launches to bundled promotions to educating users and prospects on the benefits of being a Sprint customer.
