SapientNitro Spreads Holiday Cheer with New Interactive Christmas Experience for Ferrero Rocher

 

-- Work marks first launch since being appointed interactive AOR for world-leading chocolate brand --



SHANGHAI – December 12, 2012 – SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), announced the launch of a new e-commerce site for Ferrero China, featuring a customized, experiential gifting campaign -- just in time for Christmas. 


The multi-platform campaign allows visitors to personalize, share and send a virtual Christmas greeting, along with a special box of Ferrero® chocolates – all within a click. Users can send their customized greeting by email, share it on social media sites, or have it printed.  To enrich the gifting experience, participants who send a virtual gift could win a premium Ferrero Christmas box set and printed card delivered to their doorstep by a Ferrero ambassador, including a cast of celebrities and models. 

The campaign lives on Ferrero Rocher’s China’s website and delivers an engaging multichannel Christmas experience for chocolate lovers. It features Ferrero’s advertising message: “Light up the golden moment and cherish this special occasion.”  

As part of the new experience, SapientNitro integrated the back end of Ferrero’s entire digital ecosystem into one platform – serving all its brand, campaign, social media, and eCommerce needs -- for the first time. The site was then redesigned to reflect the rich, indulgent experience its premium chocolates deliver.


In October, SapientNitro was appointed interactive agency of record (iAOR) for Ferrero Rocher. The agency was selected based on its ten years of product category experience, industry leadership, and integrated, multi-channel capabilities in China.
