SapientNitro Hires Gary Holme, Trevor Schoenfeld, and Elliott Smith as Creative Directors in Toronto Office

 

New creative talent bring seasoned approach in creating and executing through-the-line, multi-channel brand experiences

TORONTO, APRIL 18, 2011SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), today announced that Gary Holme, Trevor Schoenfeld, and Elliott Smith have joined as creative directors in the Toronto office. Together, they will join the leadership team under regional head Brad Simms in Toronto and lead traditional creative and digital strategy for SapientNitro’s clients in the Canadian market and beyond, including Chrysler, Coca-Cola, and Target.com.

Holme brings more than 25 years’ experience in art and creative direction, including tenures at Y&R Brands, Wolf Advertising, Harrod/MirlinFCB, TBWA/Chiat/Day, and JWT. Most recently, he was group creative director at Publicis Advertising where he created campaigns for many of Publicis/Toronto's major clients, such as KIA, Rogers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Walmart.

Schoenfeld has been creating winning brand experiences for more than 22 years at Brooklyn7, Doremus, GJP Advertising & Design, Ogilvy & Mather, and Wonderlust Industries. His advertising and design work has been recognized with more than 120 citations and awards, including three Cannes Lions, A Webby, D&AD and One Show Pencils, multiple ADCC, Marketing and Communication Arts Awards.

Schoenfeld adds, “What’s remained consistent throughout the convergence of marketing and technology is the ability to craft a well-told story and I look forward to evolving SapientNitro’s process of interacting with brands, ideas, and emerging technologies.”

Smith, an award-winning creative director with 15 years experience in both digital and print, joins SapientNitro from Organic, where he was creative director for the Nike Canada digital account, amongst others. Smith was previously a creative director at Arnold Worldwide, and he also spent time at Trapeze Media and ExtendMedia in creative and design roles. Throughout his career, he has won numerous awards, including DMAs, NYF, and Comm Arts shows, as well as served as a judge for the Digital Marketing Awards, Canada at Cannes, and more.
