Sapient Cited as a Leader in Strategy and Execution by Independent Research Firm

Boston, MA— August 10, 2009—Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE) today announced that its award-winning digital marketing services group, Sapient Interactive, was named a leader in the “Forrester Wave™: US Interactive Agencies — Strategy And Execution, Q3 2009” report published by leading independent analyst firm Forrester Research, Inc.  Sapient was one of a select group of 12 agencies invited to participate in the study, which evaluated strategy and execution capabilities across 39 criteria.  Sapient was cited as a leader due to its overall strategic skills, execution and development capabilities, measurement and analytics skills, social and emerging media prowess, unique company visions, and high client ratings.

According to the report, Sapient received top marks in overall strategy and development and execution capabilities.  Additionally, the report noted that “Sapient Interactive makes sense for marketers looking to advance their digital innovation, technology architecture, and overall digital strategy” and noted the company’s aggressive expansion of its marketing services capabilities with the July 1, 2009 acquisition of traditional advertising agency Nitro Group – which is now Sapient Nitro.
