No Greater Sacrifice: Brand Experience

The Challenge

No Greater Sacrifice (NGS) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the educational needs of the children and families of our nation’s wounded and fallen soldiers. To achieve its overarching goal of increasing revenue for their scholarship funds, NGS needed to enhance brand awareness within the donor community, establish themselves as key partners with like-minded organizations, and develop their future strategic direction.

Our Approach

Sapient assembled a core team of project managers, designers, and technologists to work on strategic planning, branding, and new website design. Through a series of stakeholder workshops, we worked with NGS to develop their future strategic direction based on a clear understanding of the organization’s new mission and vision. The workshops were instrumental in establishing a strategic roadmap that will be used to guide all organizational decisions. From there, Sapient’s marketing and communication team performed a comprehensive brand assessment that included interviews with stakeholder and target audiences, research, and analysis. We also conducted workshops to build consensus around the mission and vision for the organization among NGS’s executive committee and key stakeholders. Based on these collaborative workshops and brand exercises, the brand identity and the concept of a corporate donor website emerged – both of which would inform the website redesign.

Results

As a result of our collaboration, No Greater Sacrifice has gained a clear direction and purpose for their organization’s growth. In addition, the brand redefinition, which included redesigning the organization’s website www.nogreatersacrifice.org, better targets a community of corporate donors. The website redesign also improved functionality and the process for online giving to include a corporate donor micro site.
