Sapient Recognized As One of The Boston Globe's Top Places To Work

BOSTON – November 10, 2008 – Sapient (NASDAQ:SAPE) today announced that it has
been named one of The Globe 100’s Top Places to Work in the first employee-based survey
from The Boston Globe. The recognition places Sapient among the most progressive
businesses in Massachusetts based on employee opinions about company leadership,
compensation and training, diversity, inclusion, career development, family-friendly flexibility,
values and ethics.

The survey results were first published in The Globe 100 Top Places to Work magazine
included in the November 9th issue of The Boston Sunday Globe. Survey results can also be
found online at www.boston.com/business.

The rankings are based on survey information collected by Workplace Dynamics -- an
independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention -- which
surveyed 70,000 employees across 300 Massachusetts-based organizations.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by our own people as one of the best places to work in
Massachusetts,” said Sapient Chief Executive Officer Alan Herrick. “This is a testament to
our strong culture and enriching work environment, which foster both professional
excellence and personal growth. These are the reasons why we continue to attract talented,
motivated people from top-tier marketing agencies, consulting firms and financial services
organizations on a regular basis.”

As a global services firm with two distinct service groups – interactive marketing and IT and
business consulting – Sapient places tremendous emphasis on attracting and retaining the
best talent. The Company recently moved its Boston headquarters to 131 Dartmouth Street,
a highly desirable Back Bay location. The hundreds of people who work at Sapient’s Boston
office represent a potent mix of creative professionals, skilled technologists, experienced
business consultants and industry thought leaders.

“All the companies included in The Globe 100’s Top Places to Work deserve a great deal of
recognition. It’s clear that they value their employees and make it a priority to create a
positive workplace,” said Steve Ainsley, publisher of The Boston Globe.
To qualify for The Globe 100’s Top Places to Work, a company must have more than 100
employees in Massachusetts. Nearly 300 qualified companies accepted an invitation to
participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee
responses.
