CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – October 31, 2006 – Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE) today announced that it has appointed Alan Wexler and Christian Oversohl to head the firm’s operations in North America and Europe, respectively. The firm is also promoting Amy Shah, Hank Summy, and Bob Van Beber to Senior Vice President.
Wexler, a Senior Vice President, is a veteran of the company who has been instrumental in the growth of Sapient’s North American business over his eight-year tenure. His accomplishments include developing and growing Sapient’s significant North American communications and healthcare portfolio, establishing a new business in Quality Assurance & Testing, and leading the company’s shift toward long-term commitments and large-scale relationships.
Also adding to his current role is Christian Oversohl, a Managing Director and Vice President, who will oversee Sapient’s European business. He most recently led Sapient’s business in Germany and the Netherlands. Oversohl’s leadership was key in establishing Sapient’s European growth in the communications and energy industries, two of Sapient’s largest industry sectors globally.

The company also promoted three proven leaders – Amy Shah, Hank Summy and Bob Van Beber – who have been instrumental to the success of the North American business. With a combined 30 years’ experience with the company, they underscore the depth of leadership the firm has to fuel future growth.
Shah, who has been with Sapient since 1996, has been a leader in the company's growth and expansion in financial services, a business that is one of Sapient’s top three sectors today. Her 20 years’ of experience in financial services has led to Sapient’s strength and reputation in both the capital markets and consumer financial services areas.
Summy, who joined Sapient in 1995, brings over 15 years’ experience in business operations and technology innovation. He has led teams in key industries including financial services, energy services and government. Most recently, Summy led the rapid expansion of the company’s Canadian business unit. Summy’s responsibilities were recently expanded to include the firm’s government services business unit in North America.
Van Beber, who joined the firm in 1998, has been responsible for some of Sapient’s largest and longest tenured clients. During his time with the company, he has been a leader in Sapient's expansion in the energy & utilities industry. His 17 years of experience have led to this industry sector becoming one of Sapient’s largest.
