Sapient SVP Amy Shah Named One Of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants Of 2009

BOSTON – June 25, 2009 – Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE) today announced that Amy Shah, a senior vice president based in the company’s New York office, has been recognized by Consulting Magazine as one of 2009’s Top 25 Consultants.  Amy was honored for Excellence in Client Service at a gala awards dinner for the Top 25 Consultants held at the Union League Club in New York City on June 17th.

“This is a tremendous honor for Amy—she truly belongs among any list of the industry’s best consultants,” said Alan Herrick, president and CEO of Sapient.  “She’s been a key member of our organization for years and her achievements growing our marketing and consulting businesses speak for themselves.  On behalf of the entire organization, we offer her our warmest congratulations.”

Shah, who has been with Sapient since 1996, is currently focused on continuing to grow the company’s financial services, media and entertainment and marketing businesses.  Consulting Magazine noted in its profile of Shah that, under her leadership, Sapient’s New York office has grown rapidly, adding an additional 9,000 square feet this year to accommodate a 27 percent increase in staff, despite the state of the economy.

“At Sapient, we have long been dedicated to ensuring that our clients are not just on top of the latest trends in their respective industries—but are looking ahead at what will be guiding the industry tomorrow,” said Shah.  “Working with clients to transform these ideas and trends into tangible results is something we excel at.”

Nominations for the 2009 Consulting Magazine Top 25 Consultants list are submitted by clients and colleagues in several categories, including: leadership, client service, healthcare, energy, public sector, technology, retail and financial services.

“I’m thrilled with not only the number, but the overall quality of the nominations,” added Consulting Magazine editor-in-chief, Joseph Kornik.  “Every year, it seems the applications get better and better—but this year—perhaps more than ever, we've really seen the consultants that are making the difference for their clients.  In this economy, the very best of the profession stand above the rest.”
