It Was Theirs to Win

I've been in the interactive game since the beginning, which is actually not so long ago. I can vividly remember when Amazon.com was the benchmark for success in e-commerce. Every one of our clients looked up to Amazon as the model for customer experience and a beacon of innovation. What happened to them? Today is December 22 and I'm nervous (actually panicked) because half of my stuff is not here. In fact I'm so disturbed by this I may actually get in my car and drive to the mall, which is something I literally have avoided the last five years running. Yes, I'm that guy who does 100% of their holiday shopping online, or I should now rephrase I WAS. It's beginning to feel that heading o the store may be better at this point than lurking around the neighborhood trying to get a glimpse of that shiny UPS truck. Wish me luck.

Does “tweeting” mean you’ve figured it out? Does knowing how to “friend” someone qualify you as a modern marketer of the new advertising age? Hardly. In fact, reaching that lofty goal is less about the tactics we employ, and more about our overall approach to the complexities of the modern consumer. Our jobs are becoming more [...]

Thank you Gigaom So I’m an iPhone user, and so are most of my friends … but I really think the new gold mine is Android; I was playing with the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment today, Droid Eric over the weekend, and can’t wait to get my hands on a Nexus One … With 50 [...]

What does it take to make a successful iPhone application? Before answering what does it take to make a successful iPhone application we have to define what makes an application successful. Sapient always asks why are we building something, what are we trying to achieve, and how are we going to measure it; so starting [...]

Seems kinda ironic that years ago people thought that digital would replace TV in some way. Many said the TV would never go away and I totally agreed with them. Being someone that has worked in digital almost all my life, I still see the effect the TV ads have on my purchasing habits. Now [...]

Found this on ibelieveinadv.com. Cleaver guerrilla marketing but I’d be pissed if I saw this while watching a movie. What do you think? “We used existing great movies with great actors in which IKEA products are seen accidentally. With a smart and clever trick we directed the people’s attention to the IKEA products. Guerilla promotion teams [...]

Love how this ad is pretty much made totally with type and iconography. The animation style really helps tell the story. It gives a very simple video a little bit of character. We have been working more and more with film and it has really been humbling. Its hard when your trying to create excitement [...]
